This is a system automated process whereby on the most recent activity all eligible flights are evaluated for the past 12 and 24 month periods. 

With each new activity, status is again evaluated during the past 12 and 24 months, ensuring that all eligible flights are counted for attaining Silver status

Evaluations for retaining Silver status are on a personal calendar year based on the validity of your Silver status, on the date which current Silver validity commences, eligible flights are evaluated for the following 12 month period to ascertain if the 10,000 Qualifying Miles are achieved. Accumulating 15,000 Qualifying Miles within the 24 months prior to the expiry of Silver status will also ensure renewal.

Waiver of selected Royal Orchid Plus service fees

Royal Orchid Plus Platinum status is attained with the accumulation of 80,000 miles with THAI on Royal First Class or Royal Silk Class only, and includes class of service bonus miles. Accumulation of 80,000 miles must be during each of 2 consecutive periods, with each period being 12 consecutive months on a rolling basis. Evaluations are system automated each time there is an account activity, counting eligible miles during the past 2 consecutive 12 month periods on a rolling basis. If Platinum status is not attained, this same evaluation process will continue with each new account activity.

Platinum status is retained through personal calendar year evaluations. To maintain this status, 80,000 Tier Miles from flying THAI flights on Royal Silk or Royal First class must be accumulated in each 12-month period. The required mileage must be earned in two consecutive 12-month periods before the expiry date of Platinum status.
