THAI can accept escort dogs for the blind and assistance dogs for the deaf in the cabin to some destinations. Passengers must ensure that all animal quarantine regulations and documentation for entry and transit are provided.
We aim to accommodate passengers with disabilities in compliance with all applicable regulations, ensuring a smooth and safe experience for both you and your service animals.
This service will be carried without charge. Please contact eureservations@thaiairways.com or call +46 502 825 83 at least 48 hours in advance of flight departure.
THAI is committed to providing a safe and comfortable travel experience for all passengers. Due to safety and regulatory requirements, pets in the cabin are generally not permitted on our flights. However, we do make exceptions under certain conditions as outlined below:
1. Escort dogs
Escort dogs, such as guide dogs for blind passengers or hearing dogs for deaf passengers, are allowed on all THAI flights free of charge. These dogs provide critical assistance to passengers with visual or hearing impairments and must remain with the passenger throughout the flight.
2. Service/Assistance dogs
Service or assistance dogs that help passengers with disabilities (such as seizure detection, managing heart conditions, or assisting with diabetes control) are permitted to travel at no charge only on flights operating:
These dogs must provide services to the disabled passenger and be under their control at all times.
3. Emotional support dog
Emotional support dogs are allowed only on flights operating between Bangkok (BKK) and Los Angeles (LAX) free of charge, as per US DOT regulations (14CFR Part 382).
Emotional support dogs must be well-behaved and remain under the passenger’s control throughout the flight.
Note: The dog will not occupy a seat and will be located next to you but not at the emergency exit row. The dog must be harnessed during the flight. Flights to/from the USA allow a passenger with disability to carry his/her escort dog, assistance dog or emotional support dog.
For cargo acceptance of pets, please contact the Cargo Department directly.
