FAQ

1. Online purchasing Excess Baggage on https://www.thaiairways.com is non-refundable, valid on 1 year after purchased.

2. Non-endorsable, Non-transferable and Non-reroutable.

3. Online purchasing Excess Baggage is only valid for TG-operated flights.

4. Online purchasing Excess Baggage is not applicable for Group booking, Waitlisted passenger, Infant and Mileage Upgrade passenger.

5. Online purchasing Excess Baggage rate is applied for all passenger type. 

6. Online purchasing Excess Baggage is applicable only in increments of 5 kgs to maximum 50 kgs and it must be made at least 24 hours prior to flight departure.

7. One time online purchase Excess Baggage is allowed only per person and per sector in each booking. Any Excess Baggage over online purchased amount must be charged with the offline rate upon presentation of baggage at departure airport.

8. Passenger will receive Electronic Miscellaneous Document (EMD) for presentation at the airport check-in counter after completing the purchase process. 

9. Online purchasing Excess Baggage has same liability as normal Excess baggage.

10. Thai Airways International Public Company reserves the right to change the rates, terms and conditions of the online purchasing Excess Baggage product at any time without prior notice.

11. Excess baggage pre-purchase also available at THAI ticket office(city) and call center (02356-1111) with allowance up to 100 kgs/person/flight at least 12 hours before flight departure.

Online purchasing Excess Baggage on http://www.thaiairways.com is valid only 1 year after purchased and may vary depending on flight and date but non-refundable, non-endorsable and non-transferable. Kindly be advised that the Electronic Miscellaneous Document (EMD) will not automatically reissue upon the change of flight and date. Please contact THAI offices to reissue the Electronic Miscellaneous Document (EMD).

Online purchasing Excess Baggage is applicable only in weight concept and is in pentads basis (every 5kgs will be counted). The maximum online Excess Baggage 50 KGs per one passenger is allowed.

An Online Excess Baggage must be made at least 24 hours prior to flight departure.

Online purchasing Excess Baggage is available to all passengers in Booking Flow and Manage My Booking (except Group booking, Stand by passenger, Infant passenger, and Mileage Upgrade passenger are not applicable) whose tickets have been issued for Thai Airways operated flights only.

Online purchasing Excess Baggage is available on www.thaiairways.com for all devices except mobile devices.

Passenger is required to present the Electronic Miscellaneous Document (EMD) at airport check-in counter on departure. The Electronic Miscellaneous Document (EMD) will be available to view and print on confirmation of purchase step. System will automatically send confirmation of purchasing Excess Baggage by email, mobile which is registered in Thailand only.

One time online purchase Excess Baggage is allowed only per person and per sector in each booking. Any additional Excess Baggage over online purchased amount must be charged with the standard rate upon presentation of baggage at departure airport.

Online E-receipt is available to all passengers through website or sending an inquiry to  bkkncoffice@thaiairways.com with the Booking Reference or Electronic Miscellaneous Document (EMD) as well as the flight number/date that you have booked/flown including the passenger name and last name, THAI will issue the payment certificated and send email back to you.
